Job summary

Goldwater Care is seeking a dedicated Activities Coordinator to support planning, implementing, and evaluating a range of resident programs. The role emphasizes teamwork with care staff and departments to keep daily activities running smoothly.

The ideal candidate will have experience in long-term care activities, be at least 18 years old, and demonstrate strong English communication skills. Training is provided to ensure program quality and resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing & evaluating activity programs.
• Develop and maintain a good working rapport with other departments to ensure daily activities run smoothly.
• Prepare activity rooms and materials for scheduled programs.
• Follow the care plan when providing daily activities for residents.
• Purchase supplies and items for residents.
• Maintain the confidentiality of resident care information.
• Oversee residents during scheduled activities.

The primary purpose of this job position is to assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual programs, in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisors.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing & evaluating the activity programs & quality assurance program in this facility for the Activities Department.
• Develop & maintain a good working rapport with other departments within the facility to assure that daily activities can be performed without interruption.
• Assist in preparing activity rooms/areas for scheduled activity programs.
• Follow the care plan in providing daily activities for resident.
• Purchase department supplies, clothing and personal items for the residents.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information
• Oversee residents engaged in scheduled activities

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department is preferred.
• Must be 18 or older
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
