The Mylan Park Aquatics & Track Center is seeking an energetic, customer-focused, and results-driven Membership Director to lead membership growth, engagement, and retention strategies. This role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of the member experience — from outreach and onboarding to satisfaction and renewals — while ensuring alignment with the center’s mission to promote wellness, inclusion, and community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Membership Sales & Outreach
- Develop and implement strategic membership sales plans to increase enrollment and engagement across all demographics.
- Conduct tours, respond to inquiries, and guide prospective members through the enrollment process.
- Build partnerships with local businesses, schools, and community organizations to promote group memberships and sponsorships.
- Collaborate with marketing staff to create compelling campaigns, materials, and digital content.
Member Relations & Retention
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment for all members and guests.
- Maintain consistent communication with members to solicit feedback, promote programs, and address concerns.
- Organize member appreciation events, referral programs, and loyalty initiatives.
- Track and report on key membership metrics including retention rates, satisfaction surveys, and usage trends.
Operational & Administrative Duties
- Manage membership database and ensure accuracy of records, payments, and access control.
- Collaborate with front desk, aquatic, and fitness teams to streamline onboarding and facility use.
- Ensure all policies and procedures related to membership are up to date and followed.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting related to membership revenue.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in membership sales, customer service, or hospitality, preferably in a recreational or fitness facility.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives, manage projects, and meet performance goals.
- Familiarity with CRM or membership management software.
