Overview

Are you ready to make a difference as a Personal Banker (Member Solutions Specialist) and elevate our members’ experience by delivering exceptional service? This exciting opportunity empowers you to maximize member engagement by providing a range of product options. You will directly assist members in opening new accounts, offering credit card products, Money Market/CD accounts, consumer loans, and mortgage loans.

Responsibilities

• Offer best‑in‑class service to members through prompt, efficient, courteous, and professional interactions.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on our product and service offerings, new accounts, and consumer lending processes.
• Assist members with complex financial transactions and accounts, ensuring their needs are met through proactive follow‑up and resolution.
• Build members’ financial health by conducting thorough consumer loan, home loan, and new account interviews using available tools to uncover financial needs and submitting applications as needed.
• Advise members on debt management, credit advancement, mortgages, and overall financial well‑being.
• Engage members in an in‑depth financial health evaluation using available tools to recommend and open appropriate products and services.
• Support community relationships on an as‑needed basis.
• Adopt new and existing tools that will enhance the member experience and consultation process.
• Advocate member adoption of new technology, campaigns, promotions, and digital products.
• Partner with internal experts to recommend products and services that help members achieve financial freedom.
• Serve as a resource to train new and existing team members as needed.
• Understand and comply with all applicable federal and state laws and banking regulations (including OFAC, Bank Secrecy Act, Anti‑Money Laundering compliance) and Patelco Credit Union’s policies and procedures.
• Assess risk associated with business processes and identify control deficiencies to drive compliance, risk, and performance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of prior experience as a teller and personal banker.
• Maintain eligibility for NMLS, Medallion, and Notary certifications.
• Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills.
• Professional and understanding in all interactions.
• Willing and able to be flexible and adapt to changing job requirements.
• Self‑starter with strong organizational skills.
• Passion for providing exceptional service, integrity, and resourcefulness.
• Eagerness to learn and drive for continuous improvement.
• Proficient with PCs, email, and Microsoft Office suite.
• Some evenings and Saturdays are required.
• Must be willing to travel.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.

Target Base Pay

$32.50/hr
