Job summary

Planet Fitness - Fitton Clubs is seeking a Member Services Representative to join our team. This part-time afternoon/evening role entails delivering exceptional customer service to members and guests, handling inquiries, and guiding tours and sign-ups in a friendly, Judgement Free Zone environment.

Bilingual English/Spanish encouraged. The MSR will handle front desk operations, memberships, and payments, while maintaining a clean, welcoming club atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Check members into the system using club’s POS system.
• Answer phones professionally and efficiently.
• Process new memberships, cancellations and payments accurately.
• Follow opening and closing procedures as assigned.
• Respond promptly and professionally to members’ questions and concerns and inform Assistant Manager or General Manager if any issues arise.
• Maintain cleanliness and neatness of the club by performing assigned cleaning duties throughout the shift.
• Help maintain the cleanliness of the facility, including restrooms, locker rooms, and workout areas.
• Ensure weights are returned to appropriate rack area.
• Regularly walk the floor to ensure the club remains clean, organized, and safe.
• Refill cleaning stations and supplies as needed.

Reports to: Club Manager / Assistant Club Manager

Requirements

• Day and Evening MSRs must submit to a National Sex Offender Registry search. Continued employment will be based on satisfactory outcome of the background check.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR/AED Certification within time frames required by company and maintain physical ability to perform CPR/AED in the event of a medical emergency.
• Must obtain Tanning Certification within time frame required by company.
• This position requires employee to work on-site

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

The Member Services Representative (MSR) is the first point of contact for members and guests. This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling membership inquiries and transactions, and helping to maintain a clean, comfortable, and friendly “Judgement Free Zone®” environment. This role is key to ensuring a positive member experience through friendly and professional interactions, prompt support, and a strong understanding of club culture, policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Service

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Environment

Indoor environment; exposure to noise, dust, cleaning chemicals and gym equipment.

Physical

This role requires prolonged periods of standing and walking. Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, reaching, twisting, repetitive hand movement and lifting (up to 50 lbs.) may be required. The candidate must be able to perform CPR and operate equipment as needed, to operate assigned equipment and vehicles; and to verbally communicate in person or on the phone to exchange information.
