Job summary

Gurnee Park District is seeking a part-time Member Services Staff Member at FitNation in Gurnee, IL. The role centers on delivering exceptional customer service, promoting fitness memberships, and handling registrations and inquiries.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, answering phones, processing admissions, inputting member data, and conducting facility tours. Flexibility for early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required to reach 20-25 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Two years of customer service and/or sales related experience required, preferably in an office, recreation, health club, hospitality, or related environment.
• High School diploma preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, highly motivated, approachable and engaging with customers.
• Current CPR, AED and First Aid certifications are required or the ability to obtain them within sixty days of hire (training available).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and guests promptly in a friendly and professional manner.
• Answer phones, take daily admissions, and assist customers with Membership, Group Exercise, Personal Training and other Fitness Center questions.
• Input new member information into a computer and generate the membership ID card.
• Process activity registrations and follow district sales policies to generate memberships.
• Attend team meetings and cover holidays as listed; perform front desk duties and related tasks.
