Job summary

Members First Credit Union is seeking a Member Service Representative/Teller for the Broadway Branch in Mt. Pleasant, MI. The role is in-branch and requires providing friendly, accurate member service, handling transactions, and cross-selling suitable products to enhance member relationships.

The position reports to the Branch Leader, with training and opportunities to obtain CCUFC designation within the first year, contributing to the credit union's mission and community impact.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school graduate or equivalent.
• Experience operating a personal computer.
• Ability to communicate with members and other staff clearly and concisely.
• Good working knowledge of credit union products and services.
• Skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of or ability to learn Credit Union systems, products, services.

Responsibilities

• Create opportunities for expanded member relationship by determining needs and recommending Credit Union solutions.
• Remind delinquent members that payments are due.
• Maintain Sales and Service Performance Expectations.
• Process member cash and check transactions, deposits, withdrawals, etc.
• Handle inquiries on member accounts, statements, and histories.
• Process check orders as needed.
• Sell Visa Gift and Travel Cards and cashier’s checks/money orders.
• Collect any fees as required for services.
• Answer phones and handle inquiries.
• Assist other departments with clerical duties as required.
• Participate in monthly developmental coaching.
• Build relationships with current and new members.
• Assist with onboarding process to build relationships.
