Job summary

Foundr, LLC is hiring a Member of Technical Staff - Platform Engineering to own the platform and lead RL environment frontier labs that train agents on investment banking, private equity, and hedge fund work. You will shape the platform, train agents, and grow the team around it.

You will build scalable RL training/inference infrastructure, deliver long-horizon environments, and craft verifiers for quantitative decks and models while shaping engineering culture from day one.

Qualifications

• Has built evals, benchmarks or RL environments for AI agents.
• Demonstrates startup-speed delivery and iteration.
• Strong product ownership with ability to prioritize a large roadmap.
• Comfortable working with customers, users and subject-matter experts.
• Bonus: research background or founder/early-stage experience.

Responsibilities

• RL environment training and inference infrastructure, built to handle customer usage at scale


• Research and delivery of long-horizon environments that stay hard for frontier models


• Domain-specific verifiers for decks, Excel models, quant trading and beyond


• Tooling, synthetic data pipelines and analytics that raise environment throughput 10-100x


• Engineering culture and practices, set from day one

Who we're looking for
