Halluminate is hiring an experienced Finance expert to join our research team for Applied AI in Financial Services. The role focuses on pioneering AI in finance, defining taxonomies, and speaking with leaders at major banks and funds to ground our roadmap in real-world needs.

You will translate insights into RL environment development, collaborate with engineering and research teams, and drive innovations that push the frontier of AI-driven finance tasks and workflows.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of real-world experience in banking, consulting, strategic finance, investing, etc.

Responsibilities

• Define and publish taxonomy of AI tasks/workflows in finance, and expand that playbook to other industries to broader ecosystem.
• Talk with real-world financial services leaders at major banks, private equity firms, hedge funds, etc. to gather boots-on-the-ground insights on AI adoption, challenges, and priorities.
• Translate real-world insights on AI capabilities into our roadmap for RL environment building within the core team.
• Drive innovation of our RL environment problem-building process with engineering and research teams and contribute to product improvements.
• Work with the research team to define state-of-the-art benchmarks, leaderboards, and new research directions.

We do this by building high quality computer and tool-use RL (Reinforcement Learning) gyms to train AI agents that do work across financial services verticals (ex. excel modeling, powerpoint creation and more in Investment Banking, Private Equity, Hedge Funds, etc.) and broader knowledge work (consulting, insurance, etc).

Role Description

Halluminate is looking to hire an experienced Finance expert to join our research team to do Applied AI Research in the Financial Services domains.

The Responsibilities Of This Role Include

• This is an IC role focused on driving and defining the frontier of what AI looks like in Finance.
• Define and publish taxonomy of AI tasks/workflows in finance, and expanding that playbook to other industries (consulting, insurance, accounting, etc) to broader ecosystem and community
• Talk with real-world financial services leaders at major banks, private equity firms, hedge funds, etc to get a boots on the ground report on AI adoption, drawbacks, capabilities, buying decisions, priorities, etc.
• Translating real-world insights on AI capabilities into our roadmap for RL environment building within the core team
• Drive innovation of our RL environment problem building process with engineering and research teams - feedback directly contributing to core product and platform improvements
• Working with research team to define state of the art benchmarks, leaderboards, new research directions, etc.

Necessary Skills Include

• 4+ years of real-world experience in banking, consulting, strategic finance, investing, etc.
• Deep mission alignment to revolutionize the way Finance Knowledge Work is done in the world
• Ability to analyze massive amounts of information and communicate it in a clean and presentable way for mass audience of stakeholders from researchers to finance industry leaders
• Product sense to interact between engineering and research team to improve platform and processes
• Detail oriented execution across projects, technical and problem solving skills to build and QA RL tasks
• Fluency in use of LLM/Agents in your daily finance work (automating spreadsheet modeling, building evals, testing latest products in finance category)
