Codesearch AI in New York City seeks a forward deployed engineer to join a fast-moving platform team. You’ll translate customer requests into tangible data tools, dashboards, and interfaces on short cycles, and you’ll help decide what belongs in the core product.
This full-time on-site role reports to a founder and collaborates with researchers and platform engineers. You’ll ship quickly, extend data gathering and tooling, and keep customers at the center of the roadmap.
A forward deployed role at the very frontier of AI.
Work that has impact with customers in days. A very well-funded team whose customers are the ones pushing the limits of what models can do.
Our client builds the environments that advanced AI systems learn from. Their customers move quickly and ask for things that do not wait.
The platform team needs to stay on the platform. It only works if someone else can absorb what comes in from customers: a dataset shaped a particular way, a set of tasks written to a spec, a quick interface, a feature that has to exist by the end of the week. That is this role. You will spend your time closing the gap between what has been built and what a customer actually needs, and you will be the one who notices when the same request keeps arriving and belongs in the core product instead.
This is not the classic embedded forward deployed seat. There is no six‑month implementation. The work is short‑cycle and varied - build, research, script, ship, move on.
You like finishing things. You would rather ship five useful things this month than one perfect thing this quarter, and you know which situation you are in. You ask good questions instead of waiting for a complete spec. And when the same request turns up for the third time, you are the one who says it should be part of the product.
