Job summary

Zendo Labs is seeking a hands-on engineer to design and build RL environments, evaluations, and data pipelines. You will also develop the internal platform that supports large-scale task execution and calibration, enabling hundreds of thousands of tasks to run efficiently.

You will work directly with researchers, engineers, and procurement to shape datasets for AI research, applying strong software engineering practices and ownership to complex systems in a fast-moving organization.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering skills and the ability to own complex systems end to end.
• Hands-on experience with agents, evaluations, or RL workflows.
• Experience working at a fast-moving organization.

Job description

In this role, you’ll identify where the best models fall short, design the environments, tasks, and rewards that teach them to do better, and scale the delivery of high-quality datasets. You’ll also help build the infrastructure that makes this possible.

What you’ll do

• Design and build RL environments, evaluations, and data.
• Develop the internal platform that supports this work, including the infrastructure to run hundreds of thousands of tasks at scale, calibrate them efficiently, and coordinate agent teams.
• Work directly with researchers, engineers, and procurement at leading AI labs to shape datasets.
