Job summary

Cambia Health is hiring Software Development Engineers II and III. The roles require a BS in CS, Math, BA, Engineering, or related field with several years of multi-platform experience.

You will design, develop, test, and document software in a distributed team, working within SDLC standards and modern CI/CD pipelines. Candidates should be proficient with modern development tools, APIs, security practices, and ability to collaborate with Product and Business partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Math, BA, Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of relevant multi-platform experience.
• Experience in a distributed/remote team environment and cross-functional collaboration.
• Familiar with CI/CD, containerization, and API design principles.

Responsibilities

• Develops efficient, maintainable, and secure program code and system solutions; prepares comprehensive documentation, test plans, and conducts thorough testing while meeting deadlines.
• Resolves complex programming and business problems through research and innovative solutions; demonstrates expertise in solving technical challenges.
• Provides consulting support to Engineering and Business partners; serves as an Engineering ambassador communicating with Product, Business, and Executive stakeholders.
• Understands and delivers on all Software Development Lifecycle requirements including requirement analysis, system design, data models, and holds self and peers accountable to standards.
• Actively participates in learning opportunities; works to improve both technical and professional soft skills; takes initiative in seeking out work.

Hybrid role (3 days/week in office) at our Salt Lake City, Boise, Fargo, Portland, Vancouver, Renton, Medford, Burlington, Lewiston, Little Rock, and Springdale offices.

As a member of the Software Development Engineering team, our Software Development Engineers participate in a cross-team environment for the delivery and maintenance of application systems. Responsible for programming, debugging, building, deploying, testing, and documentation of applications in development and production environments. Responsible for database design and system testing and documentation. This position provides technical, interpersonal, and administrative skills in performing day-to-day work.

Pay ranges vary based on the candidate's work location. The expected hiring range depends on skills, experience, education, and training; relevant licensure / certifications; and performance history.

Software Development Engineer II

• National pay structure — applies to the Boise and Lewiston, ID; Salt Lake City, UT, Oregon and Washington. The full salary range is $88,000 - $143,000 and the bonus target is 8%. The expected salary range is $93,500 - $126,500/year.
• Regional pay structure — applies to North Dakota and Idaho and Utah locations outside the metro areas listed above: The full salary range is $79,000 - $129,000 and the bonus target is 8%. The expected salary range is $84,000 - $113,000/year.

Software Development Engineer III

• National pay structure — applies to the Boise and Lewiston, ID; Salt Lake City, UT, Oregon and Washington. The full salary range is $105,000 - $172,000 and the bonus target is 10%. The expected salary range is $112,000 - $151,000/year.
• Regional pay structure — applies to North Dakota and Idaho and Utah locations outside the metro areas listed above: The full salary range is $95,000 - $155,000 and the bonus target is 10%. The expected salary range is $100,000 - $136,000/year.
