The Member Engagement & Sponsorship Manager plays a vital role in building a vibrant and connected EDmarket community. This position focuses on member recruitment, retention, and engagement, while also driving revenue through sponsorship sales across EDmarket’s programs. Responsibilities:
Member Engagement & Retention:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for members, providing exceptional customer service and support.
- Participate in the organization’s customer service call center by responding to incoming calls and inquiries via EDmarket’s general email inboxes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing members to understand their needs and increase their participation in EDmarket benefits, events, and programs.
- Oversee the member onboarding process and maintain consistent touch points throughout the year to foster connection and satisfaction.
- Proactively identify and engage with at-risk members to improve retention.
Member Recruitment & Prospecting:
- Lead targeted outreach efforts to identify and convert prospective members, including follow-up from EDspaces and other key industry events.
- Work with the VP of Marketing and Exec. VP of Membership/Operations to develop and execute targeted recruitment campaigns.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of prospects and track engagement in the CRM (iMIS).
Sponsorship Sales & Revenue Growth :
- Develop and sell sponsorship packages aligned with EDmarket’s mission, programs, and other initiatives.
- Partner with internal teams to develop creative and customized sponsorship opportunities tailored to corporate partners.
- Build relationships with both members and non-members to identify sponsorship prospects, close sales, and meet revenue goals. • Ensure sponsor benefits are delivered as promised and maintain strong sponsor relationships to encourage renewal and upselling.
Communications & Reporting:
- Coordinate with the VP of Marketing and the Exec. VP of Membership & Operations to promote membership benefits and highlight sponsor visibility.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date member and sponsor records in the iMIS system.
- Track key metrics related to member engagement and sponsorships, and provide reports to leadership and the Board as needed.

Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in membership, sponsorship sales, business development, or association management.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals, preferably in a nonprofit or association environment.
- Strong relationship-building and customer service skills, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with AMS/CRM systems (iMIS experience a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Familiarity with the education, design, or non-profit sectors is a plus.
