Job summary

Zeus Industrial Products in South Carolina is seeking a Melt Operator to run extrusion equipment, troubleshoot, and maintain accurate process documentation. You will work with hot tooling and high temperatures, set up lines from setup cards, and ensure quality of molded resin products.

Candidates must have a high school diploma, the ability to follow instructions, perform basic math, and lift up to 60 pounds, with standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and adapt to different situations.
• Physical capability to push, pull, lift to height of 72 inches, and handle hot material.
• Ability to perform visual inspections for cosmetics and color differentiation.
• Basic mathematical skills and reading/writing legibly.
• Standing for sustained periods in melt area.
• Able to torque bolts to 110 ft-lbs repetitively.
• Attendance and punctuality are essential.
• Physical demands outlined in HR.

Responsibilities

• Extrudes fluorocarbon resins and sets up equipment using provided setup cards.
• Cleans melt tooling and reassembles extruders.
• Writes legibly and keeps accurate records.
• Keeps a clean, neat workplace.
• Follows safety rules and regulations.
• Labels and prepares orders for shipping.
• Some use of computer equipment is required.
• Handles lifting up to 72 inches and ~60 pounds.
• Moves equipment as needed and uses safety gear (gloves, respirators, glasses, face shields).
• Calculates setups.
• Works with hot tooling at temperatures 450°F+.
