Job summary

Lakeland Regional Health is seeking a Medical Oncologist specializing in melanoma to join our physician group in Lakeland, Florida. This role focuses on diagnosing, staging, and treating melanoma using immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and other systemic options.

The physician will participate in tumor boards, education activities, and clinical trials while contributing to a patient-centered culture at LRH with excellent benefits and no state income tax.

Qualifications

• Board-certified/board-eligible in oncology per ABMS or AOA.
• Current Florida medical license or ability to obtain one.
• Experience in melanoma and skin cancer care highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat patients with melanoma and related skin cancers.
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans including immunotherapy and targeted therapies.
• Administer and monitor cancer treatments and track responses.
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and care planning.
• Educate patients and families about diagnosis, options, and survivorship.
• Support and participate in clinical research and trials.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and compliance with quality standards.
