Job summary

EMD Electronics is seeking Megasys Technicians to support semiconductor manufacturing environments. You will perform safety checks, assist upgrades, maintain equipment, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring quality and cost control.

Must have a High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years' fab experience; vacuum and engineering familiarity is a plus. Excellent troubleshooting and the ability to work without supervision are valued.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of experience in a semiconductor fab environment.
  • Preferred: Associate Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics or related technical discipline.
  • Vacuum experience with UHV on PVD/CVD systems and ALD chambers is a plus.
  • Ability to debug systems with schematics and manuals.
  • Ability to work without supervision.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Your Role:

EMD Electronics is adding Megasys Technicians to their team! MEGASYS offers specialized services in managing gases, chemicals and slurries, where our technicians and engineers provide critical on-site support in semiconductor manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform Safety Protocol check on all equipment before maintenance or service work
  • Assist with equipment upgrade or installation projects as needed
  • Maintain and improve equipment performance by providing timely repair and maintenance for critical products deliverables
  • Foster the adoption of continuous improvement as a way of life; creating a culture of execution
  • Handle the task of installing and upgrading tools to ensure the control of cost and delivery of quality work
  • Conduct thorough troubleshooting of equipment problems and report detailed findings
  • Analyze equipment malfunctions and failures and accordingly develop corrective actions
  • Maintain record of all equipment serviced, next due date, remarks for follow up, etc.
  • Work safely with hazardous chemicals and materials
  • Shift: This is a Day Shift position (12-hour compressed shifts, including weekends and holidays).
Physical Attributes:
  • Lifting of a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Working with toxic materials requiring the use of a respirator
  • Crouching, climbing a stepstool, reaching, twisting
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of experience in a semiconductor fab environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or other Engineering or Technical discipline
  • Vacuum experience with UHV on PVD and/or CVD systems as well as ALD Chambers
  • Ability to debug systems with the help of schematics and manuals
  • Ability to work without supervision
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings and the materials used for maintenance
  • Motivated, focused self-starter with high energy
  • Excellent computer skills

Pay Range for this position: $30-$47/hour

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
