Job summary

EMD Electronics has an opening for a Gas and Chemical Megasys Technician for its team in Tualatin, OR. The individual will support the technical demands of the site gas and/or chemical equipment and perform cylinder and drum changes on all systems while troubleshooting complex issues.

They will ensure compliance in operation and maintenance procedures, safety, and drive flawless execution. The role involves support of over 500 distribution pieces from various vendors and may include

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of experience in a maintenance or equipment technician role.
• Experience with chemical and gas distribution equipment.
• Navy Nuclear power school or Military mechanic trained.
• Associate degree or experience in electronics, design, or engineering.

Responsibilities

• Support the technical demands of site gas and/or chemical equipment.
• Perform cylinder and drum changes on chemical and gas systems and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Ensure compliance in operation and maintenance procedures, safety, and flawless execution.
• Support over 500 pieces of distribution equipment from various vendors; participate in installation, decommissioning, troubleshooting and repair.
• Engage in Basic Safety Process, quality management, preventative maintenance and training.

Your Role

EMD Electronics has an opening for a Gas and Chemical Megasys Technician for its team in Tualatin, OR. The individual will be responsible for supporting the technical demands of the site gas and/or chemical equipment. Must be capable of performing cylinder and drum changes on all chemical and gas systems and perform complex troubleshooting and problem resolution for all equipment. They will ensure compliance in operation and maintenance procedures, safety, and drive flawless execution. The technician will be responsible for supporting over 500 pieces of distribution equipment of various types and vendors. You will drive a ZERO safety or quality incident culture.

The individual will also be involved in Basic Safety Process, quality management, preventative maintenance, and training. With experience you will also support installation, decommissioning, troubleshooting and repair of all EMD Electronics Gas Systems, precursor delivery systems, & Bulk Chemical Distribution systems.

Our team supports the facility 24x7. The individual may initially be assigned to a (7:00am - 3:30pm) shift for training. Once shift independent, you may be asked to support a compressed workweek schedule as required. Inexperienced and experienced will undergo comprehensive OJT and technical training and qualification program. 5 levels of technicians offer a fast-paced promotion track. Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of experience in a maintenance or equipment technician role

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with chemical and gas distribution equipment
• Navy Nuclear power school or Military mechanic trained
• Associate degree or experience in electronics, design, or engineering

Pay Range for this position: $23-$36/hour

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
