Boston Scientific is seeking a Senior Director of R&D for Electronic Medical Systems (Hardware & Software) at our Maple Grove, MN site. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or another applicable technical field.
• 10+ years of progressive engineering and product development experience with complex electromechanical systems.
• 5+ years leading large, multidisciplinary R&D organizations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through engineering managers and technical leaders.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Organizational & Talent Leadership: Lead the EME Hardware and Software organization across Electrical, Mechanical, and Software Engineering.
• Product & Technology Strategy: Establish and execute a multi-generational product and technology strategy across the portfolio.
• Technical Leadership: Guide architectural decisions and manage technical risk throughout development and commercialization.
• Connected Systems: Shape strategies for device connectivity, cybersecurity, diagnostics, and data capabilities.
• Product Development & Lifecycle Management: Lead engineering across development, commercialization, support, and sustainment.
• Enterprise Leadership & Execution: Partner across R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, and Supply Chain to deliver portfolio commitments.
• Business Management: Manage budgets and resource investments aligned with priorities.
