Job summary

BD in the United States (Broken Bow, NE) seeks a Quality Engineer to drive quality and regulatory compliance across manufacturing. You will support processes, lead improvement teams, and help ensure FDA/ISO adherence.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in science, engineering, or related discipline.
  • Medical device manufacturing experience preferred.
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience; internships considered.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable for day-to-day responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a resource on quality and regulatory issues within the plant and beyond.
  • Leads or participates on Kaizen teams to improve quality and reduce waste.
  • Investigates engineering solutions to quality-related manufacturing issues.
  • Maintains familiarity with processes to evaluate defects and trends in quality.
  • Provides technical input for projects using FMEA, risk mitigation, plant validations, and DOE.
  • Leads continuous improvement projects using Six Sigma, Lean, etc.
  • Ensures compliance with OSHA, EPA, FDA, ISO, and BD policies.
  • Coordinates machine and process capability studies and analyzes data.
  • Supports new product/process evaluations including Hazard Analysis.
  • Communicates between R&D and Plant on product issues.
  • Participates in audits and safety initiatives.
