Job summary

BD is a leading global medical technology company seeking a Quality Engineer to oversee quality needs for a product line and support cross-functional plant projects.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, root cause investigations, validations, and participation in audits to drive cost and quality improvements. Ideal candidates have a BA/BS in engineering and 0–5 years of quality/technical experience, with pharma/biotech/medical device exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Engineering required.
• 0–5 years in a quality/technical role preferred.
• Experience in Pharma/Biotech/Medical Device manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees Quality needs for a product line across multiple processes.
• Assist and/or manage plant projects and drive to completion.
• Participate in audits as process and quality systems.
• Develop root cause investigation and CAPA experience.
• Develop understanding of the validation system and assist in validations.
• Conduct Measurement System Analysis.
• Conduct diagnostic and statistical analysis of methods, equipment and materials to improve product quality, process reliability and cost.
• Assist in meeting plant team plans for cost and quality improvement, operating within department budget guidelines.
• Demonstrate ability to make consistent and data driven decisions.
• Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.
• Completion of projects on time and on budget.
• Complete investigations and validations.
