Job summary

Piper Sandler Ltd. is seeking an Investment Banking Vice President for its Healthcare MedTech team in Minneapolis, MN or New York, NY. The role offers involvement in high-profile transactions and strategic financial advisory for leading healthcare companies.

You will engage clients, develop marketing materials, perform due diligence, and drive M&A, equity, and debt transactions with senior bankers and executives guiding mentorship.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of investment banking experience or MBA degree and 3+ years of investment banking or closely related experience
• Meaningful M&A transaction experience required
• Ability to lead junior bankers throughout a transaction; includes reviewing work, setting expectations and providing constructive feedback
• Business writing skills, including the ability to write compelling selling memorandums and presentations
• Strong knowledge of accounting and M&A deal modeling experience
• Client management skills including ability to build relationships and establish trust with internal and external stakeholders
• Exceptional work ethic and a high level of enthusiasm, initiative and leadership potential
• Deep understanding and passion for healthcare and the medical device ecosystem
• Highly motivated, team player with strong attention to detail and an ability to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelors or MBA Degree in finance, business, management plus other related degrees.

Responsibilities

• Client Engagement: Serve as a key contact for select clients, fostering impactful relationships and contributing to client coverage.
• Marketing & Client Materials: Develop compelling marketing materials for company sale and financing assignments.
• Due Diligence: Actively participate in due diligence processes and drafting sessions for public offerings.
• Business Development: Assume increasing responsibilities in new business development initiatives over time.
• Transaction Execution: Lead and support the execution of M&A, equity, equity-linked, and debt transactions.
• Financial Analysis: Prepare comprehensive strategic and M&A analyses, detailed company valuations, and financial models.
