Job summary

CiminoCare is hiring a MedTech/CNA to join our Burlingame Villa team. You will act as a team leader for resident caregivers, ensuring needs are met and medications are administered accurately.

We offer full-time AM & PM shifts with a focus on calm, compassionate living for residents and families, and for the team. Prior CNA or MedTech experience is required, and a high school diploma or equivalent is necessary.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant or MedTech experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain resident charts and keep documentation current on facility forms.
• Administer medications to residents in a safe and timely manner.
• Ensure caregivers carry out shift responsibilities including plan of care, shower schedule and linen changing.
• Communicate resident status changes with the Assistant Administrator/Care Coordinator.
• Ensure all medication documentation is current and correct (forms, orders, dosages).
• Coordinate physician and other appointments for the shift.
• Assist in training new resident caregivers.

Wage: $25.00 an Hour

Hours: Full-Time AM & PM Shifts Available

The available shifts are:

• AM Shift: 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM
• PM Shift: 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM

FUNCTIONAL ROLE

The CNA/MedTech acts as team leader of resident caregivers ensuring that the resident needs are met and medications are correctly administered.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Maintain resident charts, and keep other documentation current on facility forms, licensing forms, physician orders, incident reports.
• Administer medications to the residents in a safe and timely manner.
• Ensure caregivers carry out their responsibility on the particular shift, including resident plan of care, shower schedule and linen changing.
• Communicate resident status changes with Assistant Administrator/Care Coordinator.
• Ensure all medication documentation is current and correct, including medication administration forms, physician orders, change of dosages and central medication storage.
• Coordinate physician and other appointments for the particular shift.
• Assists in the skill training of all new resident caregivers.

Required: High School Diploma or its equivalent

Must have: Certified Nursing Assistant or MedTech experience

Experience

The person selected for this position must be eighteen (18) years or older, must have prior experience in caregiving as a CNA or MEDTEcCH and must understand medication pass protocol.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Able to provide competent personal assistance to residents including hygiene, knowledge of caregiving techniques and ability to handle multiple tasks.

Mental

Must be able to handle stress well, be detail and systems oriented. Must be able to think and make decisions consistent with policies and procedures and licensing.
