Job summary

Ochsner Health in Louisiana seeks an experienced registered nurse to lead patient care using the nursing process and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while mentoring others on the unit.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited nursing degree, an active RN license, BLS certification, and strong communication, organization, and clinical judgment skills. Sign-on bonus available for eligible candidates and commitment to quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Proficiency using computers, software and web-based applications.
• Strong communication, teamwork and judgment abilities.

Responsibilities

• Effectively uses the nursing process in patient care delivery.
• Assess learning needs and tailor teaching for diverse patients and families.
• Communicate, delegate and manage nursing resources on the interdisciplinary team.
• Use data to evaluate and promote care improvements.
• Support customer satisfaction and staff morale in daily practice.
• Adapt interactions to patient population and maintain privacy and consent.
• Perform other related duties as required.
