Job summary

MedSpeed seeks a dedicated Box Truck Delivery Driver in Sioux Falls to safely transport medical specimens, records and supplies in a company vehicle. The role emphasizes liftgate handling, professional client interaction, and adherence to schedules.

You will operate a handheld scanner, complete pre/post-trip inspections, and uphold safety standards while working a consistent Monday–Friday schedule in a healthcare logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Must be 21 years of age with an active driver’s license for 3 years.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity with technology and scanning devices.
• Ability to follow procedures closely.
• Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
• Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screens.
• Drive a non-commercial vehicle in varying conditions.
• Clean driving history; COVID vaccination may be required by location.
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and transport lab specimens, medical records and supplies in company vehicles.
• Operate a hand-held scanner to track items through the transportation cycle.
• Adhere to policies, procedures and service schedules.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public.
• Load and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment.
• Demonstrate safe driving behavior and conduct pre/post-trip inspections.
• Support route tasks across multiple client routes as needed.
• Collaborate with teammates and clients to maintain service levels.
• Contribute to a collaborative MedSpeed team culture.
