Bergey's Dodge Ram Fiat in Lancaster, PA is seeking a diesel/gas engine technician to repair and maintain industrial trucks in accordance with dealership and factory specifications. The role requires diagnosing malfunctions, ordering parts, and documenting all work efficiently.

The technician works on-site in Lancaster with opportunities for advancement and a comprehensive benefits package. Valid driver's license and pre-employment checks are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Pre-employment background checks and drug test must be completed successfully.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains diesel and gasoline engine industrial trucks per dealership and factory specs.
• Diagnoses causes of malfunctions and performs needed repairs.
• Communicates with parts department to obtain required parts.
• Saves and tags parts for warranty or customer requests.
• Inspects vehicles to determine if further safety or service work is needed or recommended.
• Notifies service advisor/dispatcher if additional work is required or cannot be completed within promised time.
• Documents all work performed and recommendations on the repair order.

Summary:Repairs and maintains diesel and gasoline engine industrial trucks according to dealership and factory specifications.

• Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair.
• Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
• Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
• Communicates with service advisor/dispatcher immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
• Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Other tasks as assigned.
