Job summary

Qualifications

• Must complete the South Dakota Medication Certification course.
• A licensed nurse may delegate administration of medications to unlicensed personnel who have a high school education or equivalent and are registered with the Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments to clients and maintain medication records.
• Assist with behavior management, training, and therapy programs to support clients’ growth.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and provide care as needed, including transporting clients to appointments and observation.
• Follow non-violent crisis intervention techniques to defuse potentially violent situations.
