Job summary

Oakmont Management Group is seeking a Medication Technician for a premier senior living community. You will supervise and assist in medication administration, provide direct personal care, and encourage residents to participate in activities while coordinating with the pharmacy and physicians.

This role emphasizes quality service to residents and families, with a focus on safety, teamwork, and adherence to nursing standards across Sunday, Monday, and Saturday shifts.

Qualifications

• Prefer one year of experience assisting with medication at a RCFE.
• Completion of training/certification may be required by state regulations.
• Must be at least 18 years old; HS diploma or equivalent.
• LVN is a plus; MS Office proficiency expected.
• Excellent customer service and communication with residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with pharmacy and physician.
• Order, track changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate confidential resident medication records.
• Maintain safe environment per safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork with colleagues and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents
• Coordinate medication services with the resident pharmacy and physician
• Order and track all medication changes refills and deliveries with pharmacies
• Maintain accurate complete and confidential resident medication and care records
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff residents and guests following established safety standards
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co workers and other departments

Qualifications

• Prefer one year of experience assisting with medication at a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE)
• Based on state regulation completion of training/certification may be required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• A high school diploma or equivalent; a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is a plus
• Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc)
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents and their families
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests including physical and TB Tests
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening surveillance testing and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of COVID 19 or other communicable diseases per regulatory guidelines
