The Medication Technician is responsible for providing the highest level of compassionate, quality resident care and services by assisting residents with medication administration and activities of daily living, in accordance with their personalized service plans.
High School diploma or equivalent (GED), required. Certification or education as required by state regulations. Must have or be able to obtain a valid CPR & First Aid certification.
1+ years of prior related work experience functioning in a similar healthcare role, within a similar industry/work environment is essential. 1+ years of experience handling medications preferred; on-the-job training is available for candidates with the appropriate focus and desire.
Must be mobile and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, including walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, pulling, reaching overhead, and repetitive motion. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push up to 250 pounds, as necessary. Ability to move throughout the workday, in the community, and between neighborhoods. Ability to assist in the physical movement of residents during routine transfers and in emergency situations.
