Oakmont Management Group is seeking a Medication Technician for Ivy Park at Los Gatos to supervise and assist in medication administration for residents and provide direct personal care. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and compassionate care in a premier senior living community.

Pay ranges $20.00–$21.00 per hour, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and 401(k). Roles available as full-time and part-time, with typical weekday hours in a caring, resident-centered

Qualifications

• Experience assisting with medications in RCFE or similar setting preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and teamwork.

Responsabilités

Pay Range: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour (depends on experience)

The Medication Technician is responsible for supervising and assisting in the administration of medications to residents as ordered and in accordance with established nursing standards, policies, procedures, and practices of the company. In addition, the Medication Technician will provide direct personal care, encourage residents to participate in activities, and work with housekeepers and maintenance staff in accordance with the company’s mission, vision, and values.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with the resident, pharmacy, and physician.
• Order and track all medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Qualifications

• Prefer one (1) year of experience assisting with medication at a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE).
• Based on state regulation, completion of training/certification may be required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A high school diploma or equivalent; a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is a plus.
• Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
