Job summary

Elm Terrace Gardens in Lansdale is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician and Direct Care Worker to support residents with medication administration and daily living activities. The role involves ensuring safety, compassionate care, and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Schedule is 7a-7p, two days a week, with every other weekend and holiday. A scheduling app is available for shift pick-ups; commitment to an inclusive workplace is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma/GED from the United States.
• Direct Care Worker Certificate or a CNA certification.
• Valid Certification as a Medication Technician through the State of Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to patients as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and safety.
• Monitor and document patients' responses to medications and report concerns.
• Assist patients with daily living activities including hygiene, meals, and mobility.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
• Maintain accurate records of patient care and medication administration.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medication Technician and Direct Care Worker to join our team. This role involves providing essential support to individuals in a healthcare setting, ensuring their medication needs are met while also offering direct care and assistance with daily living activities.

Schedule is 7a-7p work 2 days a week and every other weekend and every other holiday with available pick-up time through scheduling app.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications to patients as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.


• Monitor and document patients' responses to medications and report any concerns to the healthcare team.


• Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility support.


• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a positive and nurturing environment.


• Maintain accurate records of patient care and medication administration in compliance with regulatory standards.


• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.


• Participate in training and continuing education to stay current with best practices in medication management and direct care.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Must have High School Diploma/GED from the United States and Direct Care Worker Certificate or a CNA certification.


• Valid Certification as a Medication Technician through the State of Pennsylvania with observations.


• Previous experience in a direct care role needed preferably in a personal care home setting but not required.


• Strong understanding of medication administration and safety protocols.
