Job summary

La Marea Senior Living in Carlsbad is seeking a Medication Technician to provide hands-on care and safe medication administration for residents. You will support daily living activities, monitor health, and coordinate with families and healthcare staff in a home-like environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor resident conditions and report changes promptly.
  • Engage residents in enrichment programs and life skills activities.
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment in resident rooms and common spaces.
  • Respond to call bells and security systems promptly.
  • Communicate with residents, families, and staff regarding care needs.

Your Role:

As the Medication Technician , your role includes providing hands-on care, administering medications, and offering physical and emotional support to residents while maintaining a safe and comfortable home-like environment.

Position Highlights:
  • Status: FULL TIME
  • Schedule: ROTATION, INCLUDING WEEKENDS
  • Location: 5592 EL CAMINO REAL CARLSBAD, CA 92008
  • Rate of Pay: $20-$23
What You'll Do:
  • Provide compassionate care and supervision for assigned residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, transferring, eating) while promoting dignity, independence, and safety.
  • Administer and observe medications and treatments in accordance with the Six Rights of Medication Pass, documenting accurately and reporting concerns promptly, including refusal of medications or missed doses
  • Monitor and record resident conditions, including changes in behavior, appetite, skin, and participation in activities.
  • Engage residents in enrichment programs and life skills activities to support overall well-being.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in resident rooms, community areas, and medication/treatment spaces.
  • Respond promptly to resident call bells and community security systems.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, supervisors, and healthcare staff regarding care needs and changes in condition.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards, infection control protocols, and confidentiality policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
