Job summary

The Springs at Clackamas Woods is hiring Medication Technicians to support resident health and safety and to build meaningful relationships with residents. You’ll administer medications, monitor health changes, and collaborate with nurses and pharmacies to ensure continuity of care.

You will lead the team on shift and maintain accurate documentation in a clean medication room. We value integrity, compassion, and strong communication.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Previous Med Tech or Med Aide experience.
  • Passion for serving seniors and making a difference daily.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience administering medications using an EMAR system.
  • CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately and on schedule.
  • Monitor, document, and report changes in residents' health or behavior.
  • Perform delegated tasks such as blood sugar testing or insulin administration.
  • Maintain proper storage and management of medications.
  • Take and record vital signs.
  • Communicate with nurses, physicians, and pharmacies to ensure continuity of care.
  • Act as a leader and point person during your shift, including emergencies.
  • Keep a clean, organized medication room and accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with caregivers and team members to support resident well-being.

Job Description

What You’ll Do: As a Medication Technician, you’ll play an essential role in supporting resident health and safety. Daily responsibilities include:

  • Administering prescribed medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
  • Monitoring, documenting, and reporting changes in residents’ health or behavior
  • Performing delegated tasks such as blood sugar testing or insulin administration (as assigned)
  • Maintaining proper storage and management of medications
  • Taking and recording vital signs
  • Communicating with nurses, physicians, and pharmacies to ensure continuity of care
  • Acting as a leader and point person during your shift, including responding to emergencies
  • Maintaining a clean, organized medication room and accurate documentation
  • Collaborating closely with caregivers and other team members to support resident well-being
Shift Available

Full or Part Time available.

Can take the Staffing phone one week a month for a bonus!

What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum age 18
  • Previous experience in a Med Tech or Med Aide role
  • A passion for serving seniors and making a difference every day
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Previous medication administration experience using an EMAR system
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand /walk up to eight hours per day
  • Must be able to lift/push up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to lift, stand, bend, squat, crawl, reach, and kneel using good body mechanics for sustained periods of time.
