Job summary

LCB Senior Living in Pennsylvania is seeking Med Techs for Fieldstone at Chestprings to provide patient-centered care in the 3pm-11pm shift. You will dispense medications, assist residents with daily living activities, and document services in the facility’s computer system.

Qualifications include Med Aide/LMNA certification, CPR/First Aid, and prior caregiving experience, with a focus on dementia care. This role offers comprehensive benefits from day one and a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Must have completed the course to administer medications as required by state regulation.
• CPR and First Aid training as mandated by state requirements.
• Experience delivering direct care and assisting seniors, preferably with dementia.

Responsibilities

• Dispense unit dose medications and document at appropriate times.
• Assist residents with ADLs including toileting, dressing, bathing, eating and mobility.
• Monitor health status changes and report to RN or designee promptly.
• Input service data into the community computer tracking system.
• Support residents in activities and programming, and maintain clean, neat units.

Reports/documents any noticed changes at once to the RN or designee.Assisting Residents with clothing and laundry needs as per the service plan.Supervise or assist Residents with activity programs.Assisting Residents in going to bed at night, when necessary.Assisting Residents with keeping their units neat, clean and orderly.Answering emergency calls and attending to the Residents needs promptly.All MAs/LMNAs/MTs are required to participate in the community's regularly scheduled on-going in- service training programs. Upon request of the Resident Care Director, MAs/LMNAs/MTs shall participate in specialized staff training programs and mandatory education requirements dictated by state regulations.Assists with escorting residents to meals and activities as needed.Documents both scheduled and unscheduled service that are provided, including incidents, behaviors, and out of the ordinary events, including a residents refusal of services. Experience in caring for seniors with Alzheimers disease or other forms of Dementia is preferred.Certificates/Licenses: Current Med Aide or LMNA certification/license or completed required training as dictated by State Regulation. Additionally, must maintain required certification/license and to provide copies of the documentation to the Resident Care Director or designee.Physical Demands:Finger and hand dexterity to handle and manipulate instruments and equipment.Visual and auditory acuity.Must be able to lift a minimum of fifteen (15) lbs. and be able to carry objects.Must be able to push and pull carts, and continuously walk, sit and stand.Must be able to turn, crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below waist, and reach above shoulder height as tasks dictate.Must use good body mechanics.Stamina to make visits to residents throughout the community.Occasional pushing or pulling, assisting of residents weighing (~150 lbs.).Have the ability to occasionally push an occupied wheelchair for a distance of up to 200 feet.Must project a positive attitude towards the service provided.Associate may be subject to potential exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials, and to handling hazardous chemicals (either Category 1 or 2).
