Job summary

Sagora Senior Living seeks a Med Tech for The Brennity at Vero Beach to administer medications, assist residents with daily living, and help preserve dignity and independence in memory care or assisted living settings.

Six months’ med pass experience is preferred; CMA certification is a plus but not required. Training and delegation are provided, with multiple shifts available (7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am).

Qualifications

• Six months of work experience passing meds in retirement communities preferred.
• CMA certification is a plus but not required.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Administer and accurately record medication administration as prescribed by a resident's physician under supervision of a nurse.
• Obtain, record and report resident vital signs.
• Manage supply of medications and related documentation.
• Care for residents' personal needs, safety, and comfort.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Support daily tasks such as housekeeping, transportation, and mail delivery.
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition.
• Conduct rounds to monitor hazards or incidents.
• Assist in dining services, including escorting residents and cleanup.

Shift(s): This is a position for both Memory Care and Assisted Living. The open shifts 7am to 3pm, 3pm to 11pm, and 11pm to 7am.pm to 7am

What does a Med Tech at Sagora do?

• Administer and accurately record administration of medications as prescribed by a resident's physician(s) in accordance with company policy and applicable state and federal guidelines under supervision of a nurse
• Obtain, record, and report resident vital signs
• Manage supply of medications
• Provide accounting for all medications ordered, received, stored, and administered
• Care for the personal needs, safety, and comfort of our residents
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including wardrobe, personal hygiene, and mobility
• Aid in daily tasks such as housekeeping, use of telephone, laundry, transportation, and mail delivery
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition and status
• Conduct rounds to monitor for hazards or incidents
• Assist in dining including escorting residents to dining room, serving, and clean up

What do you need to be a Med Tech?

• Six months of work experience passing meds in a retirement community setting is preferred
• CMA certification is a plus, but not required
• Candidate must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively with residents, families, guests, and other associates in English
• The ideal candidate will be caring, organized, and able to multi-task
