Job summary

The Brennity at Vero Beach, part of Sagora Senior Living, is seeking a caring Med Tech to support residents in memory care and assisted living. You will administer medications, monitor vital signs, assist with daily activities, and help with dining and mobility while upholding residents' dignity and independence.

CMA certification is optional as training is provided; six months of med-pass experience in a retirement community is preferred.

Qualifications

• Six months med-pass experience in a retirement community preferred.
• CMA certification is a plus, but not required.
• Candidate must read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Administer and accurately record medication administration as prescribed.
• Obtain, record, and report resident vital signs.
• Manage supply of medications.
• Care for residents' personal needs, safety, and comfort; assist with ADLs.
• Aid in daily tasks such as housekeeping, transportation, and mail delivery.
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition.

What does a Med Tech at Sagora do?

• Administer and accurately record administration of medications as prescribed by a resident's physician(s) in accordance with company policy and applicable state and federal guidelines under supervision of a nurse
• Obtain, record, and report resident vital signs
• Manage supply of medications
• Provide accounting for all medications ordered, received, stored, and administeredCare for the personal needs, safety, and comfort of our residents
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including wardrobe, personal hygiene, and mobility
• Aid in daily tasks such as housekeeping, use of telephone, laundry, transportation, and mail delivery
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition and status
• Conduct rounds to monitor for hazards or incidents
• Assist in dining including escorting residents to dining room, serving, and clean up

What do you need to be a Med Tech?

• Six months of work experience passing meds in a retirement community setting is preferred
• CMA certification is a plus, but not required
• Candidate must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively with residents, families, guests, and other associates in English
• The ideal candidate will be caring, organized, and able to multi-task
