Job summary

Grand Living is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to support residents with daily living activities and medication administration according to individualized care plans.

Under the Director of Health and Wellness, you will ensure safe, compassionate care, accurate documentation, and adherence to licensed practices in a luxury senior living setting. A High School Diploma or GED and CMA license are required.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and understand English to assist with ADLs and medications.
• 1–2 years of experience with seniors preferred but not required.
• Able to stand, walk, climb stairs, lift up to 40 pounds and assist with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and medication administration as per care plans.
• Provide courteous, timely and professional care to enhance resident satisfaction.

About the Position

The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) / Med Tech is responsible for enhancing the overall Resident experience through the provision of exceptional daily nursing care and service in accordance witheach resident's personalized care plan. The Certified Medication Aide assists with activities of daily living, like dressing, eating, grooming, communicating, toileting, personal hygiene and mobility needs, as well as preparing and administering medications according to health care provider instructions and within the scope of Grand Living’s license. This is to be handled in The Sterling Touch friendly, courteous, helpful, timely and professional manner, resulting in a high level of Resident satisfaction. The Certified Medication Aide is under the general guidance of the Director of Health and Wellness in accordance with Community standards, processes, procedures, practices and philosophy.

Qualifications and Requirements

The Certified Medication Aide must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

• High School Diploma or GED, required.
• 1-2 years of experience working with Seniors preferred, but not required.
• Certified Medication Aide License, required.
• Ability to read, write and understand the English language in order to provide assistance with ADLs in accordance with each assigned resident’s personalized care plan, observe and provide medication assistance to resident, react and communicate during emergencies, and communicate with other employees, supervisors, residents and guests.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull and work continuously without sitting for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift or carry up to 40 pounds.
