Job summary

Brookdale is seeking Med Techs/QMAPs in Tacoma, WA who can grow into Resident Care Coordinators and Nurses. Full health, life, and retirement plans are provided, with ongoing professional development and a supportive environment.

You will work under state regulations to administer medications and participate in medication-related duties, with teamwork and opportunities for advancement within Brookdale’s network.

Qualifications

• Based on state regulations and completion of required training/certification.
• Experience with medication administration and patient care.
• Ability to coordinate with pharmacies and health care team.

Responsibilities

• Administer or assist with medications and treatments as prescribed by a health care provider and report responses to supervisor.
• Keep the medication supply room organized, assist with cart audits, and ensure accurate counts of medications.
• Coordinate with pharmacies to arrange medication delivery and observe patient responses.

Base pay in range will be determined by applicant’s skills and experience. Temporary associates are not benefits eligible but may participate in the company’s 401(k) program.

Responsibilities

• Based on state regulations and completion of required training/certification, Medication Aides/Techs will administer or assist with self-administration of medication and treatments as prescribed by the health care provider and observe/report responses to your supervisor.
• Certified Medication Aides/Techs make sure the medication supply room is organized and clean, assist with medication cart audits, and provide accurate counts of all medications. You will also communicate with pharmacies to coordinate medication delivery.
• Based on state regulation, completion of training/certification is required.
