Job summary

Villas of Holly Brook and Reflections Memory Care in Sarasota, FL, is seeking a compassionate Medication Assistant/CNA to administer medications under RN supervision, observe residents, and support plans of care.

Applicants must complete the Medication Assistant Program and CNA program; 1–2 years of experience preferred and must meet state and federal requirements; commitment to safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Completion of Medication Assistant Program and Certified Nursing Assistant Program.
• 1–2 years of experience and/or training preferred.
• Meets state and federal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administers medication to residents under supervision of licensed or registered nurse in accordance with standards of practice.
• Observes and monitors residents
• Maintains employee and resident safety
• Assists with planning, implementation and evaluation of plans of care for assigned residents and reports information and suggested approaches to Charge Nurse.
• Ensures proper documentation is maintained
• Maintains and applies current skills and knowledge through continuing education and in-service programs.
• Carries out responsibilities in compliance with federal, state, local laws and regulations, and with facility philosophy, policies and procedures.
