Job summary

Sagora Senior Living seeks a compassionate Med Tech for Prestonwood Court in Plano. You will administer medications, support residents with daily living, and help maintain dignity and independence under nurse supervision.

CMA certification is optional; training and delegation are provided. We value teamwork and resident-first care, offering flexible PRN shifts and a comprehensive benefits program.

Qualifications

• Six months of work experience passing meds in a retirement community setting preferred.
• CMA certification is a plus, but not required.
• Candidate must read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Caring, organized and able to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Administer and accurately record administration of medications as prescribed under nurse supervision.
• Obtain, record and report resident vital signs.
• Manage supply of medications and ensure proper storage and documentation.
• Provide for residents' personal needs, safety and comfort, including ADLs.
• Assist with dining, escorting residents, serving and cleanup.

What does a Med Tech at Sagora do?

• Administer and accurately record administration of medications as prescribed by a resident's physician(s) in accordance with company policy and applicable state and federal guidelines under supervision of a nurse


• Obtain, record, and report resident vital signs


• Manage supply of medications


• Provide accounting for all medications ordered, received, stored, and administered


• Care for the personal needs, safety, and comfort of our residents


• Assist residents with activities of daily living including wardrobe, personal hygiene, and mobility


• Aid in daily tasks such as housekeeping, use of telephone, laundry, transportation, and mail delivery


• Observe and report changes in residents' condition and status


• Conduct rounds to monitor for hazards or incidents


• Assist in dining including escorting residents to dining room, serving, and clean up

What do you need to be a Med Tech?

• Six months of work experience passing meds in a retirement community setting is preferred

• Candidate must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively with residents, families, guests, and other associates in English
