Job summary

Brookdale is seeking Med Techs/QMAPs in Morehead City, NC to assist with medication administration and resident care in a supportive, regulated environment.

Roles include coordinating with pharmacies, maintaining a compliant medication room, and meeting state training requirements, with opportunities for advancement within Brookdale’s care teams.

Qualifications

• Must meet state regulatory requirements and complete required training/certification.
• Certification as a Medication Aide/Tech (QMAP in NC) preferred.
• Experience in assisted living or long-term care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer or assist with self-administration of medications as prescribed and report responses.
• Maintain organized, clean medication supply area and assist with cart audits.
• Coordinate with pharmacies to ensure timely medication delivery.

Base pay in range will be determined by applicant’s skills and experience. Temporary associates are not benefits eligible but may participate in the company’s 401(k) program.

Responsibilities

• Based on state regulations and completion of required training/certification, Medication Aides/Techs will administer or assist with self-administration of medication and treatments as prescribed by the health care provider and observe/report responses to your supervisor.
• Certified Medication Aides/Techs make sure the medication supply room is organized and clean, assist with medication cart audits, and provide accurate counts of all medications. You will also communicate with pharmacies to coordinate medication delivery.
• Based on state regulation, completion of training/certification is required.
