Job summary

Country Meadows Retirement Communities in Mechanicsburg, PA is seeking a Medication Technician to administer medications and provide compassionate care in a home-like setting. The role includes engaging with residents, supporting independence, and maintaining medication cart accuracy.

Full-time hours are 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. with a shift differential from 3 p.m.–7 p.m. Pay starts at $18.50–$21.50 per hour, with potential for higher pay based on experience and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Prior direct-care experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Respect for patient rights and confidentiality.
• Up-to-date medication certification preferred.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks of the job.
• Ability to understand and speak English well enough to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Engage with residents and administer medications and treatments.
• Observe residents daily and support their comfort and wellbeing.
• Manage the medication cart and ensure supplies and accuracy.

Medication Technician Responsibilities

• Engage with residents, getting to know them personally while administering medications and treatments, observing their day-to-day behavior and outlook and ensuring their comfort and overall positive well-being.
• Provide social and emotional support, while encouraging residents’ independence.
• Manage the medication cart for complete, up-to-date supplies and quality control.

Medication Technician Requirements

• Prior direct-care experience preferred.
