Oakmont Management Group is seeking a Medication Technician for a 10pm–6:30am NOC full-time role in Las Vegas, NV. The position entails supervising and assisting with medication administration, plus direct personal care for residents, in a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating with pharmacies and physicians, maintaining confidential records, and ensuring safety. Prior RCFE experience and MS Office skills are preferred; a minimum age of 18 is required.

Formación

• 1 year of experience assisting with medication at a RCFE (preferred).
• State regulations may require training/certification.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.

The Medication Technician

is responsible for supervising and assisting in the administration of medications to residents as ordered and in accordance with established nursing standards, policies, procedures, and practices of the company. In addition, the Medication Technician will provide direct personal care, encourage residents to participate in activities, and work with housekeepers and maintenance staff in accordance with the company’s mission, vision, and values.

• Order and track all medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Qualifications

• Prefer one (1) year of experience assisting with medication at a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE).
• Based on state regulation, completion of training/certification may be required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A high school diploma or equivalent; a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is a plus.
• Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
