Job summary

Oakmont Management Group is hiring a Medication Technician to supervise and assist in the administration of medications for residents in a California senior living community. You will provide direct personal care, encourage participation in activities, and collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance to uphold our care standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating with pharmacies and physicians, maintaining medication records, and ensuring a safe environment.

Qualifications

• One year of experience assisting with medication at a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) preferred.
• Completion of training/certification may be required by state regulations.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus.
• Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel).
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including TB tests.
• Vaccination and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

The Medication Technician is responsible for supervising and assisting in the administration of medications to residents as ordered and in accordance with established nursing standards, policies, procedures, and practices of the company. In addition, the Medication Technician will provide direct personal care, encourage residents to participate in activities, and work with housekeepers and maintenance staff in accordance with the company’s mission, vision, and values.

• Prefer one (1) year of experience assisting with medication at a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE).
• Based on state regulation, completion of training/certification may be required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A high school diploma or equivalent; a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is a plus.
• Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
