The Ivy at Berkeley, managed by Oakmont Management Group, seeks a Medication Technician to supervise and assist in medication administration for residents in a senior living community.

You will coordinate with residents, pharmacies, and physicians, maintain accurate records, and support daily care activities while upholding nursing standards and company values.

Full-time and part-time shifts are available, with competitive pay of $21.00–$23.00 per hour, plus benefits across California communities.

Formación

• Prefer 1 year of medication assistance experience at a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE).
• State training/certification may be required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• A high school diploma or equivalent; a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is a plus.
• Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Written and verbal skills to interact with employees, supervisors, physicians, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including TB tests.
• Vaccination, daily screening, surveillance testing, and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

The Medication Technician

is responsible for supervising and assisting in the administration of medications to residents as ordered and in accordance with established nursing standards, policies, procedures, and practices of the company. In addition, the Medication Technician will provide direct personal care, encourage residents to participate in activities, and work with housekeepers and maintenance staff in accordance with the company’s mission, vision, and values.

Qualifications

• Based on state regulation, completion of training/certification may be required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A high school diploma or equivalent; a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is a plus.
• Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
