Job summary

Holland Home – Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Medication Technician / Resident Assistant for a hybrid role that combines medication administration with daily living assistance for residents.

The position requires at least one year of medication administration experience, English proficiency, ability to lift up to 60 lbs, and flexibility for every-other-weekend shifts and holiday rotations. A compassionate, faith-based care ethos supports growth and meaningful service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in medication administration.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Stand for extended periods and lift up to 60 lbs.
• Pass a physical exam, drug screening, and annual flu shot.
• Clear background check.
• Availability to work every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications accurately according to protocols.
• Document medication administration and report concerns to nursing staff.
• Assist residents with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, and feeding.
• Provide emotional support and companionship.
• Monitor changes in residents’ condition and report accordingly.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment.
