Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities is hiring a Medication Assistant, Assisted Living for a part-time role in Kentucky. The position involves helping with medications, documentation, and daily living activities for residents in Assisted Living and possibly Memory Care, with shift on Saturdays and Sundays from 6am-2pm.

Requirements include an Arizona Caregiver Certificate and a high school diploma. CPR preferred; prior elder care experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• All state educational requirements must be met.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Experience caring for elderly residents preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, order, and assist residents with medication needs.
• Transcribe and document in the Medication Assistance Record.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and health needs.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, departments, or dining.
• Respond to emergency calls and health or environmental needs promptly.

Schedule: Part-Time.

Saturday & Sunday, 6am-2pm

In this position, your main responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining, ordering, and assisting residents with medication needs
• Transcribing and documenting in the Medication Assistance Record
• Assisting residents in Assisted Living and potentially Memory Care, with activities of daily living, taking vital signs, first aid, wound care, and communication with outside health care professionals as necessary
• Transporting residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining
• Responding to emergency calls, resident and/or visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner

To be successful in this position, we believe that you need the following experiences, strengths, and skills:

• A valid Arizona Caregiver Certificate is required
• High School diploma or equivalent is required
• All state educational requirements for the position must be met
• CPR certification preferred
• Experience working with an elderly population is preferred
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated
