Job summary

Koelsch Communities is seeking a dedicated Med Tech to join the Resident Services Department at Jefferson House. New grads are welcome to apply, with full-time and part-time opportunities and an hourly rate of $24–$26 depending on experience.

Multiple shifts available, with benefits for full-time staff. The role involves administering oral and external medications under supervision of a licensed nurse, delivering high-quality care, and supporting residents in ADLs and daily activities.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a state-certified medication aide/tech course.
• Must gain CPR/First-Aid certification as needed per policy and state regulations.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide residents with medication administration and treatment assistance according to orders.
• Supervise residents who self-administer medications following guidelines.
• Maintain resident records regarding medication distribution and incidents and report changes to LN on duty.
• Assist residents with ADL tasks including bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, oral care, ambulation, transfers, meals, and housekeeping.

Who you are:

You are a passionate person and are ready to provide aide that will change lives. Your job is to administer oral and external medications to residents under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse. You will deliver in a safe and efficient manner the highest quality individualized assistance program to all residents. Additionally, you will provide resident care as needed.

What you'll do:

• Provide residents with medication administration and treatment assistance and services according to the health care provider's orders
• Supervise residents who self-administer medication while following company and regulatory guidelines
• Maintain resident records regarding medication distribution and incidents; Observe residents for safety and report any and all changes in resident condition effectively, accurately, and in a timely manner to LN on duty
• Assisting residents with ADL tasks including but not limited to assisting with bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, oral care, ambulation, transfers, serving and assisting with meals, feeding, housekeeping, bed making, and laundry
• Observe and uphold resident rights at all times; Assist residents to and from meals; Relate to residents in a courteous, empathetic, and cooperative manner
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
