EOSIS in Sauk Rapids, MN is seeking a full-time Medication Aide on the 2nd shift (3:00 pm - 11:30 pm). You will support individuals in addiction treatment and behavioral health services under the Nurse Manager, administering medications and documenting care to promote recovery.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School education or GED.
• Training in medication administration.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a chemical dependency facility preferred.
• CPR and first aid certification preferred, if not - we'll get you certified!

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications to patients under the supervision of a nurse.
• Verify patient identity and record drug name and administration time.
• Present medication and observe ingestion or apply according to procedures.
• Record vital signs and monitor reactions; notify staff as needed.
• Record and restock medication inventories.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Nursing Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications to patients and maintain medical records under the supervision of a nurse
• Verify identity of patient receiving medication and record the name of drug, and time of administration on specified forms or database
• Present medication to patient and observe ingestion or other application, or administer medication using specified procedures
• May take vital signs or observe patient to detect response to specified types of medications and prepare report or notify designated personnel of unexpected reactions
• Record and restock medication inventories
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Nursing Supervisor
