Responsibilities

• Performs collections and assists with duties including but not limited to questions, escalations, etc.
• Maintain strong knowledge of commercial insurances and Medicare collections.

Qualifications

1. A minimum of three years in a medical collections role within a medical facility, handling Medicare collections for at least two years; knowledge of various commercial insurances; not collecting copays.
2. Computer literacy in a Windows environment, including Microsoft Excel and Word, plus proficiency with proprietary systems.
3. Minimum of one year in a collections role with demonstrated results (attendance, quantitative and qualitative performance, peer recognition as a go-to team member).
4. High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate degree or higher in an applicable discipline differentiates the candidate.
5. Prior medical experience is a plus; excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong motivation and initiative.

Additional Information

Hours for this Position:

• Mon-Fri 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with overtime if needed (occasional Saturday work, rare)
