Job summary

PharMerica, part of BrightSpring Health Services, is seeking a Medicare D Biller to coordinate prior authorizations and billing for healthcare facilities nationwide. The role requires attention to detail, familiarity with insurance, and EMAR systems, with a remote option across the Contiguous United States.

The candidate will research denials, document authorizations, and liaise with pharmacies and PDPs. Prior authorization expertise and billing experience are valued, with Monday–Friday shifts

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician or Medical Assistant certification desired.
• Experience with third-party medical billing and EMAR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as a resource to facilities for information and documentation or follow up on claims.
• Understand insurance and Medicaid formularies and prior authorizations.
• Make outgoing calls to facilities, plans, and physician offices to obtain approvals.
• Collaborate with billing offices, pharmacy directors, and plans to resolve issues.
• Maintain documentation and manage prior authorizations through EMAR and systems.
