Daniels Health is seeking a dedicated driver for our Fresno, CA plant. A Class A Hazmat license and clean driving record with a valid medical card are required.

You will collect sharps and medical waste, deliver safely, and provide excellent customer service on a largely autonomous route. The role involves over-the-road drives (up to 10 days), operating large straight trucks and tractor trailers, and occasional heavy lifting.

Qualifications

• Class A Hazmat license with clean driving record and valid medical card.
• Willing to run out-of-state routes.
• Minimum 6 months driving experience with tractor trailers and/or straight trucks.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections.
• Heavy lifting ability.
• On-time delivery practices.

Responsabilités

• Driving over the road - 10 days.
• Collecting, delivering and storing medical waste containers at customer locations.
• Providing strong customer service and building relationships.
• Drop and hook (minimal live unload).
• Operating straight trucks and tractor trailers up to 26–53 ft.
• Deliveries to schedule and communicate changes clearly.
• Loading and unloading; organize truck per schedule.
• Manage route per leadership direction; deliver timely service.
• Sleeping in a sleeper tractor with a meal allowance of $35 per day.
• Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours and inspections.
• Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs (50–75 lbs occasionally).

We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer focused driver with a Class A Hazmat license and experience driving large trucks to utilize your experience across the Fresno, CA Plant. You will be collecting sharps and medical waste containers from our healthcare customer locations and delivering a high level of customer service daily. This role offers a high degree of autonomy, stable hours, access to some OT and good benefits. Our vehicle fleet is modern and well-maintained. Over the Road Routes:

Florida, Alabama, Texas and Ohio.

What will your job involve?

• Driving over the road - 10 days
• Safely collecting, delivering and storing our medical waste containers at customer locations
• Providing strong customer service and building positive customer relationships
• Drop and hook (minimal live unload)
• Operating vehicles in a safe manner (straight trucks and tractor trailers as large as 26 and 53 feet long)
• Completing deliveries to time schedule, and clearly communicating changes or challenges as they arise
• Loading and unloading | Prioritizing and organizing your truck per schedule and needs
• Managing a route per leaderships direction | delivering timely, efficient and effective service
• Sleeping in a sleeper tractor and getting $35 a meal per day
• Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections
• Heavy lifting
• Consistently lifting up to 50 lbs, with occasional lifting of 50-75 lbs
• Pushing and pulling 100-250 lbs, as appliable to the role

What are we looking for?

• Class A Haz license with a CLEAN driving record and VALID medical card required!
• Required to run out of state routes
• Willingness to work full time hours, approx. 40 hours a week
• Passing our 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
• Heavy lifting!
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations
• Six months of driving experience with tractor trailers and/or straight trucks
• Customer service skills
• A flexible, can-do attitude with a strong customer focus
• Experience operating vehicles in a safe manner (straight trucks and tractor trailers as large as 26 and 53 feet long)
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections
• Confident in a road check level 1 through level 3
• Proven longevity in past employment
• On time delivery practices!
